The monsoon season (July–August) can make the trails slippery, while winter (December–February) brings cold temperatures and occasional snowfall.
The Gallu Waterfall Hike is a short trek, typically taking 3 to 4 hours round trip from Gallu Devi Temple. The trek covers around 6-7 km with a mix of easy and moderate sections.
The trek is classified as easy to moderate, making it suitable for beginners as well as experienced hikers. The initial trail is relatively simple, but the final stretch near the waterfall has rocky and uneven terrain, requiring careful footing.
The Gallu Waterfall is located at an altitude of approximately 7,200 feet (2,195 meters) above sea level, offering stunning views of the Dhauladhar Range and surrounding valleys.
There are a few small cafes near Gallu Devi Temple, but no facilities near the waterfall itself. It is recommended to carry your own water and snacks.
