The Kedarkantha trek is a popular winter trekking destination located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India. After a wholesome breakfast, we make our answer of Sankri village and begin the steep climb up Capitol Hill to Juda-ka-Talab.

- We have 4 kilometers to hide. The climb is steep, since the lake is found at the peak of 9,100 feet.

After breakfast,Excitement is build up as we start our trek towards the Kedarkantha base camp.

- we start our 4 km long journey. The trail, though steep in some patches, is notdifficult to follow.
- Dinner is going to be served early because the trek begins
tomorrow!

1. Is Kedarkantha trek easy?
In Kedarkantha trek, there are mostly lenient ascent all the way to summit. The most vigorous part of the trail is the summit push. Apart from this push, the entire trek is good for beginners in terms of gradient and terrain.
In winters, the trek path gets covered with thick snow throughout which makes the trail a little tricky to pass through.
Thus, Kedarkantha trek is an easy to moderate trek for beginners. Experienced trekkers can attempt the trek in any of the seasons.
2. How much does Kedarkantha trek cost ?
The standard trekking cost for Kedarkantha from Sankri ranges from 4899 INR to 12000 INR per person for 4 nights tour and around 7000 INR to 14000 INR for 5 nights tour. The Kedarkantha trek price is mostly based on the services offered, group size, stay quality at different stop points, season and off season time and other factors.
3.How long does it take to trek to Kedarkantha
Kedarkantha trek is ideally a 5 day trek. The trail starts from a small village Sankri in Dehradun. A span of 96 -144 hours goes in reaching the top of the summit.

4.How difficult is Kedarkantha trek?
On a scale of difficulty, Kedarkantha trek is considered to be an easy to moderate trek. Only the uphill climb from Kedarkantha base camp can be a little strenuous.
Kedarkantha is famous for being a winter trek. However, you should be aware that Kedarkantha trek difficulty tends to increase during winters. The entire trail from December to April is covered under a blanket of snow, making climbing or even walking, a little difficult.
5. What is the temprature at Kedarkantha Base camp ?
The temperature at the Kedarkantha base camp may drop very low in the dark .confirm you've got enough layers on to stay warm.

First sunrise of the year

One of the best place to be visited. Easy to moderate trek. I travelled solo WIth Lazy Monk and my first experience was mind-blowing. reaching the summit was mesmerising and cried after seeing the first sunrise of the year. Couldn’t believe nature could be this beautiful but now I do after I saw nature blooming and sparkling the effects. A must visit trek and would suggest to go in December- March (winter season).

One of the best Himalayan winter trek that one could experience. You would see snow from day one and the experience is extraordinary. Though this trek is tagged as an easy trek, on peak winters this would be a moderate level one
