Altitude is one of the major factors to consider when planning your trek and Serolsar lake does not fail to ace that part.
Serolsar lake trek covers a comfortable trekking distance of 79kms from Kullu and a mere distance of 85kms from Mandi. But as we know, distance doesn’t matter when you are a true trekker by heart!
This lake trek starts from Jalori Pass, distance covered is 5 Km which takes approx. 4-5 hours of trek. During winters, you can witness snowfall of around 4-5 feet from the foot level.
Jibhi to Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake trek, Jibhi and Jalori pass from an exciting combination of mountain trails for the visitors. Both the places are rich in flora and can be accessed with ease.
Jalori pass is known for its thick blanket of snow delighting tourists for the picturesque view it offers.
During summers, Jibhi and Jalori take a relishing avatar of greenery all around making the campsite just perfect for a summer afternoon picnic or evening walks.
Perched at a height of 3130m, Serolsar lake undoubtedly receives heavy snowfall during winters making it an ultimate destination for winter treks.
The winter season of Serolsar lake claims the beauty of nature, the thrilling experience of walking on snow, and a chilled-cum-cozy weather. You will not be disappointed if you plan a winter trek to Serolsar lake.

Serolsar lake has pleasant weather during summers and a chilly one in winters. The temperature at Serolsar lake during the summer season ranges from 10°-20° C, ideal for a mountain place.
During the winters, the temperature of Serolsar lake drops down to 2°-6° C so it is advisable to carry your warm and comfortable jackets and caps to the trek.
Serolsar lake trek’s difficulty level ranges from moderate to easy. The beginning of the trek is a simple walk but then the tracks get narrowed and it goes down through a beautiful forest filled with golden oak trees.
It then gently shifts upwards towards one of the most stunning lakes with several camping options around the lake.

Total Distance covered – 24 Km drive and 11.6 km trek
First, you will meet at the operator’s office for a security briefing and tour instructions.
Hike to Hidden Waterfall
Arrive at the Jibhi campsite in the morning. Check-in and freshen up. Some time is offered for relaxing and acclimatization. A couple of hours are offered here at leisure in between the valley.
Thereafter, you will be taken for a 2 km climb to the waterfall. Later, come back to the home-stay.
Dinner and night stay are offered at Camp stay .
Hike to Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake
Next, you will start your trek journey for the day.
The journey starts from Jibhi with a 12km drive-by Taxi to Jalori Pass, which takes about half an hour to hop on a steep and curvy road to realize the elevation of 3132 mt. The taxi driver will drop you at Jalori Pass and from here your trek will start to the Serolsar lake with our trek guide. You will walk up through the open meadows and dense oak forests.
The trail offers magnificent views of great Himalayan ranges. A professional guide will accompany you throughout the trek to ensure your safety and make your trek a worthwhile experience.
Local Sight seeing in Jibhi
Wake up, and feel the exhilaration view of morning and have breakfast and check out camps.Local sightseeing to the beautiful Mini Thailand and Banjar Market interior.
Thereafter depart for Delhi by 5 pm with lots of exhilarative views and everlasting recalls of Tirthan Valley.

Hydration packs/water bottle
• A reusable water bottle- 1.5-2L easy to fit in your backpack.
Snacks
• Carbohydrates and protein-rich, healthy, and easy to consume snacks – Gud Chana, fresh and dried fruits, energy bars, hard-boiled eggs.
Weather Appropriate Clothing
• Warm and waterproof clothing for winters, wind, and waterproof jackets
A hat and sunglasses
• A broad brim, waterproof and sun protective hat, and sunglasses with light-colored lenses for great contrast and visibility in shades.
Sunscreen
• Sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher, reapply after every 2 hours.
A rain jacket or umbrella
• For warmer months, consider a compact travel umbrella, opt for a waterproof & windproof rain jacket for winters.
Activities from Jibhi Campsite
Start Your Trek Near from jalori pass.You can also opt for trek to Serolsar Lake– in case you don’t want to explore 360° view.
Later come back to camp and enjoy bonfires with soothing music.
Dinner and overnight stay in the campsite .
Wake up, and feel the exhilaration view of morning and have breakfast and check out camps.
Thereafter depart Home.
