Let’s meet today at Lazymonk Travel Cafe in Delhi and get to know each other. It is a long trip ahead so acquaintance is important. At night, we will be travelling to Narkanda (Shimla) from Delhi.
After having breakfast & some rest at a homestay in Narkanda, we will visit the Hatu peak here. Then, we’ll continue our journey towards Nako, a tiny hamlet situated in the trans-Himalayan ranges. En route, we will make a pit stop at Khab, the site of the union between Sutlej and Spiti river. In Nako, we’ll visit the serene Nako lake and pay our reverences at the Nako Monastery. Dinner and overnight stay at Nako.
Post breakfast, we will head towards the headquarters of Spiti, Kaza. En route to Kaza, which serves as the connective link between the districts, we will find ourselves surrounded by many monasteries that we will make sure to visit. We will visit the more than thousand-year-old Tabo Monastery followed by the Dhankar Monastery. We’ll reach Kaza before evening and will check in to our designated Himtrek accomodation. The rest of the day is at leisure, however, the travelers are free to explore the small town. Dinner and overnight stay at Kaza.
Today we will be exploring Kaza. After a warm breakfast, we will move further with our road trip. Pay your visits to Langza Lord Buddha statue, Key monastery, Kibber village and Chicham bridge. Overnight stay at Kaza Himtrek homestay.
Visit Hikkim village & the world’s highest post office, Komic village which is the world’s highest motorable village, the frozen waterfall giving you chilly adventurous vibes & the greatest Pin valley. After a long day, we will return back to our accommodation , have dinner, and rest for the night.
After breakfast, we will start our return journey to Kalpa.We will reach Kalpa where there will arrangements at the beautiful village of Chitkul for your food break. We will reach Kalpa by evening where we will have dinner followed by an overnight stay.
We’ll reach Delhi by the evening and the group will disperse with fond memories. End of Winter Spiti Road Trip.
