River Rafting At Tattapani Overview

The rocky river is one among the tributaries of the Satluj River and is legendary for its offbeat and yet exciting rafting experience.
The rafting activity starts off at the river and lasts for about 40 mins and stretches to 6km.
The river has Grade 2, Grade 3 And Grade 4 rapids and may be a thrilling experience for amateurs as well as professionals.
The rafting duration depends on the course chosen. The shortest course (5 km) takes around 40 minutes, while longer courses take a few hours to complete.
The rapids at Tattapani range from Grade 2 to Grade 4, making it suitable for beginners, intermediate, and experienced rafters.
The best time for rafting is March to June and September to December when the water levels and currents are ideal.
Tattapani is located near Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, along the Satluj River. It is known for its river rafting and hot water springs.
There are three rafting stretches available:
5 km – Sunni to Tattapani (Ideal for beginners)
12 km – Powerhouse Chabba to Tattapani (Moderate difficulty)
35 km – Pandowa to Tattapani (Challenging for experienced rafters)
